Tomar Innovation Center celebrates its 11th anniversary and inaugurates renovated space

05.11.2024 – The Tomar Innovation Center of Softinsa celebrated yesterday, November 4, its 11th anniversary and inaugurated a renovated workspace.

The Tomar offices now offer more collaborative and functional areas, designed to improve the experience and well-being of Softinsa’s employees.

To celebrate this date, the entire Tomar team and Softinsa management gathered at the center, with the presence of the President of the Tomar City Council, Cristóvao, and the Vice Presidents of the Tomar Polytechnic Institute, Natércia, and Madeira, for a joint toast.

In parallel with the 11 years of the Tomar Center, this month we also celebrate the recognition of Softinsa as one of the 100 Best Companies to Work in Europe by Fortune in 2024, a distinction from Great Place To Work and Fortune Europe, which reflects the continuous commitment to one of Softinsa’s most important values, people.

In 2013, Softinsa was a pioneer in launching the first nearshore center in Portugal, strategically betting on the decentralization of its services and the export of competencies from the interior of the country to the whole world.

Inaugurated by the then President of the Republic, Professor Aníbal Cavaco Silva, the Tomar Innovation Center emerged as a result of a collaboration between Softinsa, Portugal, the Polytechnic Institute, and the Tomar City Council.

The rapid expansion and great success of the Tomar Innovation Center led Softinsa to bet on other cities like Viseu, Fundão, Portalegre, Vila Real, and more recently Coimbra.

From the Tomar Innovation Center, services are provided in the area of digital transformation, SAP Consulting, Business Intelligence & Data Analytics, Mobile Solutions, and AI to multiple companies at a regional, national, and international level. Over the last 11 years, the portfolio of developed solutions has been expanded, and the Tomar Innovation Center currently supports over 100 clients.
