Softinsa bets on the digital transformation of its processes with SAP S/4HANA Cloud

First SAP partner in the Portuguese market to make this in-house investment

Lisbon, February 22, 2024 – SAP Portugal announces that Softinsa, a subsidiary of IBM, a specialist in management and application development services, has chosen the SAP S/4HANA Cloud solution to optimize and streamline its financial, purchasing, and operations processes, with the implementation carried out by its internal team of SAP consultants.

It is worth noting that Softinsa is the first SAP partner to adopt this cloud solution in the national territory. The SAP S/4HANA Cloud solution is SAP’s latest-generation ERP suite, available only in the cloud, which helps companies manage their business and processes in the current digital world. Softinsa will also use the SAP Concur solution for managing and automating employee expense processes, from reimbursement requests to accounting.

Henrique Mourisca, General Manager of Softinsa, states that “it is with immense satisfaction that we started the activation of SAP S/4HANA Cloud in Softinsa and that it will be implemented by our team of SAP consultants. This solution will make a difference in the way we work and will definitely contribute to the improvement and simplification of many essential processes for our business, focusing on critical departments such as Finance, Purchasing, and Operations”. He also emphasizes: “we also count on SAP as a great ally for this initiative, and our bet on SAP S/4HANA Cloud confirms the advantages and benefits that this solution brings to any organization”.

For Nuno Saramago, General Manager of SAP Portugal, “this activation of SAP S/4HANA Cloud for internal use clearly demonstrates the value and confidence attributed to SAP solutions as a response to the daily challenges faced by the business fabric. We are certain that this experience of use, guaranteed by Softinsa in its own right, will give it a competitive advantage”. He also highlights that “this primacy of Softinsa will result not only in the continuation of a successful cooperation but also in the increased capacity to replicate its experience in new SAP customers, of different dimensions and sectors”.

The SAP S/4HANA Cloud solution is in line with the trends already followed by Softinsa customers, who choose business management solutions that allow them to reduce TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) by opting for a Cloud SaaS (Software as a Service) solution. Other expected benefits include the automation of processes in routine tasks, usually performed manually, as well as the simplification of business processes.

Softinsa will count on the experience of its team of SAP consultants, certified in this solution, and, together with IBM, SAP Platinum Partner, will strongly position itself in digital transformation projects.
